Ambleside
The Ambleside project began with a vision for a seamless, high-end living experience. The client requested high-end audio throughout the home and garden, intelligent lighting control for every area, automated window dressings in the bedrooms, a cinema room integrated into the living room, fast and robust Wi-Fi with comprehensive wired network points, and advanced security featuring CCTV, intruder detection, and a door intercom.
Lighting
For a blend of new and existing spaces, Rako lighting was selected. Modules were installed both centrally and in-ceiling, providing flexible solutions for all areas. EOS and RCP keypads, touch panels, and mobile device integration offer versatile control. The garden lighting leverages Rako’s time clock function, enabling atmospheric scenes that enhance the outdoor ambiance throughout the evening.
Networking
A robust wired network infrastructure was paired with Ruckus Wi-Fi 6 access points, discreetly installed to guarantee fast, reliable, and seamless coverage in every corner of the home.
Control
Control4 brings every element together, offering unified management through intuitive touch panels on each floor or directly from any iOS or Android device. This centralized control covers AV, lighting, blinds, security, and more, delivering effortless living at your fingertips.
Cinema
The living room was transformed into a dual-purpose entertainment hub. An Epson projector and 2.8m ceiling-recessed screen deliver immersive visuals without disrupting the room’s aesthetics. The 7.2.2 Sonance in-ceiling surround system, powered by a NAD AV receiver, provides dynamic, enveloping sound—making the space ideal for both movie nights and everyday living.
Audio
Blu-Os was chosen as the primary audio source, seamlessly integrated with Sonance power amplifiers and in-ceiling speakers across the majority of rooms. Subwoofers were strategically placed for enhanced bass, ensuring a rich listening experience both indoors and out. Effortless control is available via smartphone or touch panels on each floor.
Blinds
Qmotion blinds were installed in all bedrooms, chosen for their flawless integration with Rako and Control4. The blackout material ensures restful sleep and optimal privacy, while unified control allows for effortless adjustment.
